Because really, aren’t there enough blogs out there?

Since I was 16 years old, I have worked at or run my family’s educational supply business. Last year, my father decided that since books are a dying trade, this would be a good time for him to retire. Our business wasn’t doing very well anyways, because as everyone in the book world has had to face, books are on their way out, as much as I hated to admit it. So I took a 2 year severance (generous, I know) and am taking a year off to be with my kids and husband before figuring out what is next for me.

I am chronicling my short, temporary time as a stay at home mom and wife. For this brief period in my life, I am truly a homemaker. That is my goal every day . To make our home as loving, nurturing, positive, and welcoming as possible. To enrich the lives of my family, especially my young children. I’ve been at it for about 6 months already, and it’s been harder than I thought. I’m so grateful to have this time, though, and I embrace all the challenges that come with it.
